Hello, world!

When it comes to atoms, language can be used only as in poetry. The poet, too, is not nearly so concerned with describing facts as with creating images. (Neils Bohr)
I am currently developing a course proposal for Portland State University's Chiron Studies program. If they accept it, I get to teach a course of my own design on Science Poetics. This blog will document my process. I may also use this as a place for students to post their responses and discussions. Either way, I hope to create a space for discussion of science in poetry. I welcome your feedback and participation.
